Metal box for dressings and gauze bandages. Boxes of this type formed part of the onboard equipment of certain vehicles.

Dimensions: 24 × 14 × 7.5 cm.

The lid has some green staining, probably transferred from the paint on a vehicle mounting bracket. The Medical Department emblem and the words “FIRST AID FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY” remain clearly visible. The latch is in good condition and the box is not dented. A very fine original period piece!
