World War II U.S. M2 paratrooper helmet with a front-seam shell.

Repainted in the colours of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, and fitted with a camouflage net and fabric strips. It has fixed half-moon chinstrap loops, the first type made specifically for paratroopers. The paratrooper chinstraps themselves appear to have been replaced.

Fitted with a “Westinghouse” paratrooper liner, missing only the nape strap. The name “Sylvester E. Wood” is written in two places inside. Some components are reproductions, particularly the paratrooper chin cup.

A rare piece for the discerning collector!
