Casque M1 époque WWII - marquage 101st airborne, Easy company

M1 helmet with an original period front-seam shell that has been repainted. The shell bears the stamped marking “1003C”. The 101st Airborne Division and 327th Glider Infantry Regiment markings were added later.

The liner was made in Belgium by “COGEBI” (Compagnie Générale Belge des Isolants), is dated 1955 and was used by the Belgian Army. It is in excellent condition and closely matches the American World War II pattern in every respect.
